Has anyone actually tried a non dell ink cartridge in a dell 924 printer and it work?
I have a dell 924 printer. I went online about a year ago and tried what was guaranteed to be a compatible replacement. It wasn't. My printer recognized it wasn't dell ink and told me so. You are forced to order directly from dell which is very high. Has anyone out their actually found dell cartridges cheaper and tried them so that you know they work?

  2. Follow these instructions to remove the dell homepage:

    If you have Mozilla Firefox click on "Tools" (top left of screen), "options", then under the "main" tab you should see home page, if you see dell or dell support then remove it.

    If you have Internet Explorer click on "Tools" (top right of screen), "internet options", if you see dell or dell support then remove it.

    If you have another browser let me know and i will try to help you with it!

  6. Lets assume you have installed a wireless adapter in your desktop, although you didn't actually say so. ;)

    It might be an interference issue.

    Typical causes of interference include microwave ovens, cordless house phones, and neighbors' wireless networks using a channel number close to yours.
    You can also try moving your ROUTER as far from your MODEM as you can. Some modems make radio interference!

    There can be interference from a neighbor's wireless network.
    If your existing software won't do a good site analysis to see if this is the case, you can try:

    You can change the channel on which you operate from the router to be far from your neighbors.

  9. If you h ave a wireless modem, your laptop should connect to it by default. If the modem isn't connecting to the internet, call Verizon tech support (and good luck – it's one of the two reasons I dropped Verizon).

    Did you check status update on their support page. Make sure it doesnt say canceled or changed. If it does that could be the problem.

  12. Do not let Dell fool you. In their license with microsoft, because they reformat microsoft's os so that their software will be compatable, they have to fix, otherwise microsoft can sue them. I got this straight from the horses mouth. When they say your is here, well I think you know what I mean, its your's alright because their support is pityfull. Good product if you know how to take the dell out of it. Their software they add is eccess backage, vista does everything their's does! And your right, is does not stop at Dell. it's 90% of anything to do with comp's,
    support really stinks. But what we gonna do but grip! Its all about money!!!

  13. I can totally agree. I got Dell Gold support (through my company) so I get to talk to someone who actually knows stuff. E-Mail me your service code and I will get the goods for you on this machine if you need to. If you need to reformat the computer, get into the bios to make sure the cd boots first. Put the CD in and reboot. Walk through the menu and repartition your harddrive. Wipe all of the current partitions and create a new one. (This will wipe EVERYTHING ON THE COMPUTER) From there install XP. Don't use the CD dell gave you if you can help it. Use the one that has XP only on it and not all of the dell crap they add on.

  14. well if you know when this happend u can do a system restore to that date to try and fix it if not im sure u can go to the dell website and download the lastest version also a good program is DriverCure that scans your whole computer and finds outdated driver's and software so try some of this it should help you
