Firstly, the answer has nothing to do with the question that was asked. Secondly, you can have the data plan off the phone on a CDMA network as long as the provisioning features are on the account. You won't see EX, you would only see 1x instead of the usual 1XEV on a CDMA networks like Verizon. I should know coz I am a Tech Solutions Expert.

But more importantly, to answer the real question. Whats the difference between the internet on a cell and a BB device. HUGE Difference. Cell phone provider's give limited access to browser capabilities since most of the cell phone data plans are really cheap and are unlimited.

On a cell phone you can mainly browse to the links that the cell phone provider puts on their WAP Portal. Yes they would include the most basic functions such as checking your mail (hotmail, yahoo, gmail) and of course Facebook.

But 90% of the times when you try to browse to a normal site it wouldn't work. if it does awesome! If it doesn't then the provider doesn't support it.

On the other hand Blackberry's internet is a real internet on your phone. It is only limited by the website's inability to work properly on a data devices. However, 90% of the wesbites would work flawlessly.

I hope that kinda helped you out.

Cheers

No because verizon wirless's roaming service is CDMA (Which covers only North America and some other parts of the world). Meanwhile, T-Mobile is GSM Which will work internationally but your bill will go up lol. I suggest you just use a telephone/landline and use phone cards with it. OR you can buy a cheap prepaid T-Mobile phone, but your minutes' rates will be higher.

Oh and I am from the Philippines, have fun there if you end up going!
