How to extend your Dell INSPIRON 6000 laptop battery life?
Dell INSPIRON 6000 laptop batteries seem to be fond easily these days. We can find them in our laptops. We all want to make our batteries last as long as possible, and how can we extend our laptop batteries.I find some useful advices from articles.
The first: Battery Memory - When I first got my laptop, my friend recommended to fully drain the battery before recharging it. His reasoning was connected to the idea of battery memory. allowing the battery to fully discharge then recharging to max, supposedly gives you the complete battery capacity. Otherwise, if you simply charged from the half way point to max battery capacity, the battery would treat the half way point as the empty point, thus cutting your battery capacity in half. The good news is today's laptop batteries have a safety circuit in place to insure the battery doesn't reach the point of no return. The safety circuit isn't fool proof of course, if you leave your battery completely drained for a few days, even the circuit's protective measures won't save it.
The second: Battery Calibrating - There is some benefits to fully discharging your Dell INSPIRON 6000 laptop battery periodically, this can be especially important. If you start to notice your battery meter is becoming more and more inaccurate, it may be time for some battery calibration. By allowing your Dell INSPIRON 6000 to fully drain, this will help the Dell INSPIRON 6000 laptop battery recalibrate allowing for more accurate measurements of battery life. This should be done once every 30 charges or when you notice battery readings are off.
The third: Consequences of Heat - another enemy of Dell INSPIRON 6000 laptop battery life is heat. If you were to leave your laptop plugged in and running for a year, you should expect the Dell INSPIRON 6000 laptop battery capacity to be anywhere between 60% to 80% of it's original max capacity. This is why people that use their laptops as desktop replacements will notice greatly reduced battery life performance after one year of use. This issue can be resolved by removing the battery while using a corded power source. Now you may want to check with your manufacturer ahead of time to check for safety concerns, some manufacturers have mentioned problems such as moisture and dust collecting in the battery casing.
The fouth: Battery Storage - If you plan on not using the Dell INSPIRON 6000 laptop battery for prolonged periods of time, then you'll want to have the charge level at 40% and place the battery in the fridge (not freezer). Storing the Dell INSPIRON 6000 laptop battery at 100% charge level applies unnecessary stress and can cause internal corrosion. On the other hand, if the charge is too low, the Dell INSPIRON 6000 laptop battery can become permanently unusable, due to battery self discharge. This is why manufacturers recommend storing your battery at 40% charge, rather than either extreme .
always keep a spare battery so that you'll never miss a Important fair. Here you will find some of the best prices on replacement Dell INSPIRON 6000 SERIES Battery ,Dell INSPIRON 6000laptop battery adater(chargers), Dell INSPIRON 6000 laptop battery reviews, features, specifications and related accessories.

Question and Answer
Has anyone actually tried a non dell ink cartridge in a dell 924 printer and it work?
I have a dell 924 printer. I went online about a year ago and tried what was guaranteed to be a compatible replacement. It wasn't. My printer recognized it wasn't dell ink and told me so. You are forced to order directly from dell which is very high. Has anyone out their actually found dell cartridges cheaper and tried them so that you know they work?

Not much there is a service tag on the back or side if you looks closely. Going to the dell web site you can find out what came with the computer when it was purchased.
used computers that are 5 yrs old do not have much value but can be very handy for browsing the internet as it gives you some protection if you use a dedicated computer for browsing in case something happens you don't have anything to lose.
if you have young children or a grandparent it could be a great computer too. My mother-in-law just uses the computer to play card games your's would be fine.
You may want to look at donating the computer
if you do a start-run then type winmsd it will show you the current hardware in the system

Dell provides excellent support! How many companies offer a 24/7 live person for you to speak to. None of your local computer companies can better that.

The Chinese market is extremely price sensitive, and COMPUTERS have become a commodity business, as Lenovo's purchase of IBM's PC biz demonstrates. Dell's weak competences for innovation make it difficult for Chinese competition, so it is pretty much left with a penetration strategy- where it would focus on one particular niche or market segment in an attempt to create a beach head for further product deployments in the larger Chinese computer market.
I would think that it would do what it did successfully in India, which was agree to establish assembly plants or customer service centers in China in return for preferential access to some of the markets entrenched by Chinese firms. Dell can do this thanks to its size.

Likely it is coming from Colorado USA, so your computer will have to pass through customs, ours and yours.
It should arrive soon, but a week is not out of the ordinary.

The Dell OS/Restore disk will only work with Dell computers. You might be able to contact Gateway to see if you can get a replacement set of disks.
I hope this helps.

Click on the "start" menu – then click on "turn off computer". I hope you are not serious.
You don't need access to the welcome menu, you need access to the start menu. Might I suggest you sell the computer and start playing checkers?
